desiresdd17: (BLMorticia)

So, I am done with the baseball short.

The dang thing ended up at around 22K.

*shakes fist at characters*

WHYYY! When I tried really hard to make it like 15K, but no, these two continued to talk. And in that 22K, I have like 4 sex scenes.

JESUS!

There is a lot of banter between these two as well. Some great one liners. It's kind of like The Wretched but with athletes instead of rockstars. It won't be out until November, so we'll see if me and my betas can cut some of the filler.

So that leaves me with Crossfire. I really wanted this story to be done by end of August. Unless I write like 10-12K in the next 3 days, that won't happen, so I'm setting the goal to be done by September 4th. I actually need to be done by Saturday because I have a wedding to attend. That means no writing. Oh and the wedding is out of town so, yeah, probably not going to bother taking my laptop. I will take my Kindle though so we shall see what happens.

To make that date happen, I will be putting off starting anything else new. Anasa is ready to go, but Crosssfire has to be finished. I wanted it in the editor's hands sooner than later, but due to RL and so many other things, I couldn't make that happen.

Once I get that done, I'll start rewriting my stories Guardian Angel/Save me, combining them into one titled Save Me. It's the story I wanted to write for my cousin who committed suicide. I've wanted to finish a full book for him for a long time, and since I bought the cover, I'll be doing that.

Also, I'll be doing Veronica's short, Rain Delay, and Anasa for Michael. Once any one of those are done, I intend to work on a couple of stories for BLMorticia. One is a novella I don't have a title for, but it's set in New Orleans and involves paranormal. The other is a short called Heat of The Night. I have a cover for that as well and I'll be probably giving it away as a freebie or charging 99 cents for it. We shall see how it goes.

Wish me luck on finishing Crossfire by Sept 4th!

desiresdd17: (DaveReading)

So, I'm done with one of the shorts. I think it turned out really cute. This is the inspiration for the story and as per usual, it was good to write with Rawiya again. If she were a person in real life, she'd leave me because I seriously treat her badly.

*sighs*

Another issue with being the author of so many pennames. Mind you, I have 2 new secret ones along with Rawiya, BL, Michael, and Veronica. I also have RM Durand who is my vampire writer, my secret pen that does some taboo erotica, as well as Brooklyn Roberts who will be doing Lesbian fic and my fanfic penname Sahara Duran.

YIKES! How many is that? 10? OMG that is TOO DAMN MANY. Oh and I do have a mainstream name I'd like to use someday. In other words, no romance. Sighs, I doubt that will happen soon, but whatevs, it's there.

Ahem, back to Rawiya. she is the most seldom used muse, and very easy going. However, it was hard as heck to write this story. Why you ask? Because I wrote two very sweet characters.

Yep, I wrote good guys. Nice, clean cut, the kind you want to bring home to momma, guys. Not the assholes I usually write. No snark as with BL or Michael. No demons or smartass cops as with Michael. Just, sweet, down home guys that you just wanna pinch their cute cheeks!

*groans*

And actually, I had to stop writing my BL story to finish it, so now I'm going back to BL to finish the baseball short. I need that done so it will be ready to go soon. I have so many stories on my WIP list. Rewrites, new ones, old ideas like SMOKE which had been there for years. I'll never finish them all.

And having so many DAMNMUSES  is one reason why.

Maybe I can get through half. Even that might be too much!

* * * *

So now I'm down to 2 WIP's, not counting the fanfic I haven't finished. *sighs* Crossfire and Double Play. I'd like to finish Crossfire by the end of August and sub it. Double Play I plan to finish this week. When I do, I'm going to start Anasa. FINALLY!

He is chomping at the bit to get started!

desiresdd17: (Default)

Well, Under the Gun 3 is done for now. I finished it Thursday night. The muses wanted a wedding scene in the end, but I didn't have it in me and put it to the side. It ended up about 21k, which was 4 short of what I thought. Perhaps time away from it will put me in a better frame of mind.

The good news is, my BL muse is back. I started my MM short for my project and it's going well. I was afraid Michael had completely taken over my brain, but not yet. *grins* I still need to finish PROTEKT3 which I will, but I'm on deadline for the two shorts so they take precedence.

This past week I got an email from my publisher. She asked my writing plans, and I just happened to go back and look at my answers.

UGH!

I totally failed. I'm working on PROTEKT, but other than that, I haven't sent her anything I wanted to. It's a bummer. :( She was understanding and I told her she would at least have PROTEKT for sure.

A part of me wants to write something dystopian. DAMN MUSE! *shakes fists at Michael* He always has to be so damn complicated. My pub is having a subcall, so that might be why.

GRR. I really need to shut down the plot bunnies. My feeble brain cannot keep up with all the ideas. I have loads of them and yet, not enough hands or stamina. I can barely keep up with what I have.

So as for WIP's? I'm still on PROTEKT3, but the MM shorts, one of which is for charity are on my mind first and foremost. BL is writing one and Rawiya the other. I also have my Veronica novella to start. When PROTEKT3 is done, I'll probably start on that, but BL has 2 stories she'd like done b4 the end of the year. DON'T THEY ALL?

UGH!

I will be tired as hell, but I'm hoping to get at least 2-3 more subs in my the end of the year!

desiresdd17: (DaveReading)

So, once again, I have been busy.

I swear, I have. If you look at my Word Count tabulator for this year, you'll see I am over 300K for the year already, which hasn't happened in quite a while. And that's only fiction. It doesn't include any blogposts or articles I've been writing. Just fic.

Anyways, its cool if you don't believe me. I wanted to write in to catch you up on things if you're still following. I really should be writing and as I post this, Crossfire PROTEKT3 is open on my laptop, but I got distracted. I made the mistake of starting UTG3, Crossfire, and Immortalitys Gift at once, thinking I could finish all three by the end of June.

NOPE!

OhEmGEE, such a big mistake. My brain wasn't prepared with the overload. I was doing fine, until mid June stepped in. Nothing major in my personal life, just RL got in the way. Not only that, I'm probably suffering from a bit of burnout. After Smoke was done, I went directly into these 3 stories, thinking it would be a breeze. Immortalitys was fun and before I knew it, I spent the rest of June and part of July finishing it while the other two stories sat idle.

UGH!

I didn't want that to happen, but it did, and now, I'm at about 16k with Crossfire and very anxious about how it goes from here on out. I'm just not feeling the story as of yet. I have gotten words down today, but I found out this story is a lot of banter so far. Unlike the other PROTEKT stories, there isn't much action yet. And it's a bit of a letdown.

No worries though. I will keep chugging along. I wanted it to get done by end of this month, but its highly unlikely. Worrying about stories, sales, and RL issues has taken it's toll. So instead of stressing, I'm going to pace myself. I wanted it out this year, but it may not happen. We shall see.

In the meantime, I don't want to start on anything new. I really want to complete these then move on, but other things are pulling away my attention.

***As always, more plot bunnies. I have another new story idea that crept up on me in the last 48 hours. BL is working with co-author again. We have a story done and 3 more to do as well as a secret project we're doing together.
***Michael needs to start Immortals 3 as well as Gren.
*** Rawiya is idle.
*** Veronica is ready to go with her first story after being rejected by a pub, but I have other stories for her.
*** The secret muses have books to do as well and I'm NOT READY!

Argh.

I'm confident I will get things done, however, reading through this journal made me realize a couple of things. You may ask what made you go through the pages? Well, Photobucket decided they wouldn't allow free 3rd party webhosting anymore so all the pics I had in here needed to be updated or deleted.

F*CKERS (Shakes Fists)

AHEM

Anyway, back to my dilemma. There are LOADS of stories that need revising and some that never saw the light of day with a publisher. Since I'm a different writer now, they all need to be redone. So many of those books were mentioned in several posts. If you look at the left side of my journal, you'll see tags for them.

African Sun, Wild Horses, Trois?

lol

Neither one of them ever made it to a publisher. Its disheartening, but I won't dwell on it too much. I only have 2 hands and one brain. I would love to begin revising, but newer plots take precedence. *sighs* Perhaps I need a ghost writer? LOL

Nope. I'm not James Patterson, so I'll have to slog through the best way I can.

In the meantime, continue to check back with me for updates. Right now, I'm working on UTG3 and Crossfire exclusively. I'm hoping to start my short for Veronica in the coming days.

Oh, and the muse is Nick Bateman who is my Bastien Desmarais from Crossfire. I really love him and need to finish his story!

I have been busy That's the reason I haven't posted in a while. I'm working on three books right now, one of them is a book called Immortality's Gift. It's in my Immortals series and involves these three men. These are the twins from my Taboo series, Ryland and Ryder, with their human lover, Dale. Immortality's Gift will be my first MPreg. I've been wanting to do one for a while and since I don't want to give away spoilers that's all I'll say.

Michael and I are also working on Crossfire, PROTEKT 3 and it's also going well. I'm doing it without much plotting, which is different, but it seems to be okay so far. Although both books are my focus, I can't help but be excited about Immortality's Gift. Not only because I love MPreg, but because I love paranormal/fantasy. I adore vampires, demons, mages, just the weird stuff. lol I believe Michael loves it too which is why this book has more words the others. I'm working on this right now and I don't want to move from it. Despite this, I'm going to because the other books need my attention.

My goal was to get Immortalitys and UTG3, which I am also working on, done by the end of June. Not sure if that will happen, but I'll certainly try because I have a subcall to do that's due on 7/30. Oh and if you'd like to read Mon Trois and the other books, please follow this link! Ryland and Ryder Durand
desiresdd17: (GeishaJT)
Smoke I know, I know. It's been a while.

3 Weeks?

I've been hella busy. A lot has changed since I last wrote. The graphic for the book above is gone to a publisher. I've released Nola Nuptials, and Immortals One is going to an editor. I've also got 2 new plot bunnies, one of which decided, yeah, we're gonna wreck you until you write this story.

SOOO NOT HAPPENING! Damn muses! It's a sexy IR paranormal, dark, rom com. Hmm. I know, sounds great right? Welp, maybe I'll try writing it late summer, but for now I have a ton on my plate.

*PROTEKT 3 is next on the docket. I've been putting it off because I'm doing Veronica's stories.

*Veronica's MF I'm halfway done with one and I have another I'm subbing to a publisher.

*Immortals 2 Immortality's Gift is actually up next too because I'd like the 2nd one to come out like a week or 2 after the first. It is sort of a cliffhanger and i don't want readers to wait that long for book 2. So I might not release that until like 3rd week of June with book 2 to follow right after it.

*Subcalls I have 2 I'd like to do. Both due on July 30th

*Hirah and UTG I'd like both done and released by July. Hirah 3 will be out in June. It's done but I need to revise, edit, etc.

*Gren Gren has been pushed back. I hope to start on it sometime this year but I'm doing the subcalls so they have taken precedence.

*Coauthor work I have Tempo coming out and a Veronica short as well as Redux we are about to edit. We'll be working on the followup to Redux as well. Whew, okay, that's a bunch. So when I return here, we'll see where I'm at. I'm only working on Veronica and the fanfic now. As soon as I finish her first story, I'll be doing the second as well as working on Hirah. I hope to be finished with both Veronica tales within a month. That way I can concentrate on the 3 new muses and BL! Michael will always be working since I want all the Immortals books out by December. Wish me luck!

marcuspatrick14

Whew. He looks how I feel.

It's been a topsy turvy week that started promising and ended on kind of a sour note. RL, got in the way of me finishing Immortals 1 and Nola Nuptials on Monday, but I did just finish both first drafts and I'm pretty pleased. I also came to the conclusion I write better love scenes after I've had liquor. ITS TRUE! I actually do well with a lot of my writing when having libations. However, I know I can't do that all the time, so ... *shrugs* When I can't get booze, I'll have to make do. So that leaves me with these WIP's

Veronica *I've decided to pick up another project with co-author. We'll be doing shorts so Veronica will have two stories. Woot! Michael * With those two finished, I can concentrate on PROTEKT 3 and Gren Dumont. I also have Smoke edits and edits to come on Tempo.

BL * BL and I have plenty of things to work on. UTG3, Hirah 3, the follow up to Odd Couple, Wild Horses, and new stories that would like to see the light of day. *groans* Damn muse!

Rawiya * Poor Rawiya. I'd like to do at least one more book for her by the end of the year, but there are 4 other secret muses wanting work. Grr. I will try to get something done for this muse. I do adore her, and wish I had more hands. :D

I've also decided to add yet another muse to my list. If you follow Nola Exotica, you know about Ryland Durand. He is the author half of the twins. Well, once I finish Immortals, any vampire books I write will be authored under Ryland. It will be Michael writing as RM Durand. It won't be something I do all the time, but any MM vampire, will be under him.

<3

I have a couple of vamp stories on my WIP list, so no worries there. I'll find use for him. That is a lot right? Ugh! This is why I drink. #damnmuses.

Anyways, the muse at the top is Marcus Patrick. Whatever happened to him? Ta ta for now!
desiresdd17: (DaveReading)

So here is the deal with SMOKE.

No, no, no, don't panic. I didn't add more words to the 117K that I'd already done.

*whew* You say.

No, I just wanted to talk more about it. Not in terms of plot or anything because, duh, you wouldn't read it if I did.
Instead, I wanted to share how long it had been in the WIP box and how you should NEVER throw away ideas.
We writers are strange creatures. Yes, you knew this already right? We spend as many hours thinking of stories as we do writing them.

It's TRUE! I swear! Ask any author if you don't want to ask me.

*laughs*

Anyway, yes, when those glorious plot bunnies pop up in our heads we find anything, absolutely anything to get it down. Some of us have fantastic memories and we're able to remember. While others find anything to jot it down with. Lipstick, crayon, pen, pencil, and of course, any electronic device.

I've never done the lipstick, but I have done the crayon before. I have a pretty good memory, but sometimes that brain won't be functioning correctly so it's always best to write it down or tap it into my phone.

As far as SMOKE is concerned, I'm not sure how it came about, just know it's been on my WIP list for almost four years.

Yes, that's right. 4!

The plot line was agonizing, because ...
I'm not fucking telling you!

*inserts maniacal laughter here*

Sorry, I can't. I'd give you the basis of it if I were self-pubbing. I'll tell you this much. It's a writer, a fireman, and a businessman. That's all. Oh and it's interracial, and angsty and that's all I'll say.

Anyway, SMOKE was an incomplete idea. I had a couple of scenes and because I'm more of a panster, I didn't have the plot set up for this story. I only knew who I wanted to "star" in the book. If you look back a few posts in this journal, you'll see the muses for the story. I started to put them on that graphic, but ... yeah, no. Those RF stock models will do.

Back to the story. While letting it fester, I wrote a couple of shorts on it. I participated in a freebie sharing group called Wednesday Briefs and actually wrote 3 different scenes for SMOKE. None of those made it to the actual book, but I saved all three as a reminder for the story.

When I started it last NANO, I had those small parts as well as the muses faces on the page. All I had was a basic idea, and seemingly the more I wrote on it, the more it started to flow through my fingers. Even when I took a break on the story, I was still able to pick up where I left off without an issue. Actually, I'm thinking the break was the best thing I could've done because it went so smoothly after that. Sure the characters took me on a rough ride, but hey, that's what makes a more intriguing book.

Now, I've often talked about how endings are an absolute bitch for me. They still are, and this book was no exception. I do believe that I ended the book correctly though. It had a nice epilogue that showed a beautiful scene. The characters seemed satisfied with it too, so I'll just have to see what the feedback will be from the betas.

The moral to this story? NEVER throw any ideas away! Regardless of how bad that story sounds, how choppy, or whatever, it might turn into something big later on. SMOKE might have never been written if I didn't want to do something out of the ordinary. Well, at least out of the ordinary for Michael.

Writing is like a journey that takes us on different paths each time. Some might stay on that same path, while others, like me decide to wander off onto a different one. Sure the road was bumpy and it did take me a long time to complete, but I'm glad I did. It was an excitingly frightening experience, as every book is. And it all started with 3 scenes and a half ass idea.

Writers, don't concern yourself with how many ideas are in the WIP folder. Most likely, unless you write at the speed of wind, you'll never finish them all. All those half ass ideas and small notes, might end up being something bigger in the long run. Cherish them all in the notebook, on the laptop, on piece of paper in a box written in crayon. They're all valuable whether you write them or not.

Whew!

Okay so that ends this post.

This is the WIP list now.

Or instead, why don't I let Michael tell you? Read his post here.

desiresdd17: (Default)

Oh Em Gee, it's done!  I can't believe it. The monster I'd begun to call my story, Smoke, is FINISHED.

Well, okay, first draft is. Of course it's on to the betas and then a final read for me before it goes to the publisher. I'm so excited about the story. I believe once I went through it again and finagled with sentences it turned out great.

And no, it's NOT 130K, thank freaking goodness. It's 117. Before the cuts, it was 123 so I'd say I did a great job in cutting. I won't mind cutting more though. I'm sure the betas will have more suggestions about what isn't needed. Regardless I am happy as ever that I completed this story and can cross it off my to-do list.

Now I can concentrate on my other things as well as my new stories. Then, the waiting begins once I send it off to the publisher.

Wish me luck!

* * * *

So with that news, the WIP list gets bigger. LMAO

You thought it went the other way?

Immortals 1
PROTEKT 3
DD Fanfic

I will start Nola Nuptials and my 2 het stories as well. Immortals is only in the beginning so it will be a while for that one. PROTEKT isn't even started and I need to rewrite the synopsis. So instead of crossing off, I'll be adding to the WIP list. Such is the life of a writer.
desiresdd17: (Default)

Yes, I am still working on Smoke.
Yes, it is still reving up my anxiety!
But, I love it. I love the story, it's characters, especially this big lug above. He is the muse for Jonas Sandbauck, the hotheaded fireman in this story. Now you know why smoke is in the title, right?

Heh!

Ahem, anyway, I've been writing like crazy on this story. I've written about 6k the last two days. Is it done, you ask?
Hells no! Not even close.

Right now the story is up to 78K plus. I have put the characters through one obstacle with like four more to go.

Yes, I am placing hurdle in their way to get them to where they need to be and I'm still worried about the end results. Will I satisfy the characters, will I tie up all the loose ends? I worry about that last one more than anything because that is what determines how much a reader will like a story.

Of course, number one audience is me, but there will be others who will read it. I hope. Regardless, I will need critical eyes on this one for sure and I'm hoping for the kind of feedback that will make the story as close to perfect as possible.

Damn muses. Complicated, unpredictable, and I love them!
desiresdd17: (Default)

Argh!

The dang muses from my book Smoke have struck again. Since I was on vacation the last week of February, I'm catching up with these men and oh wow, they did have a lot to say.

Then there was the vision I had on Friday night for a scene to write in the book. I can't tell you about it because it would ruin the story. Let's just say it has to do with death and sex.

Um...

I know that doesn't give you a lot to go on and no, I'm not talking about a snuff scene or necrophilia. LOL It's involving two of the characters from the book. That's all I'll say. I know, I know, I'm a tease, but if I tell you, you won't read the dang book!

*laughs*

This reminds me about one of my earlier posts about this book. How the plotline makes me anxious. And this scene only adds to that anxiety. I'm wondering how readers will feel when they read the scenarios these three men have gone through.

All so they can build something lasting together. Yes, they gotta go through some shit because I believe it will bring them closer.

Okay, now I've said way too damn much. I should be writing instead of telling you. I will! I have the WIP open and now I will stop blabbing and go write it!

And yes, that man above is one of the muses. Boris is my muse for jerk ass, Myles Greyson.
desiresdd17: (Default)

Lordy!

I've been writing on Smoke most of the day. These men are exhausting. This one, the muse for Jonas, might be the sanest out the bunch. And that's not saying alot!

GEEZ

Yes, these crazy characters took me through a range of emotions. I laughed, I cried, I had to get up and walk away from his book then come back to it just so I could see what I was writing.

Effin crazy!

I truly do not think there is a book like this that exists. There probably is, but I don't know of one. It's so complicated and controversial. Not taboo, but definitely difficult.

Ah!

I do love something complex, but this, by far is the most complex plot I've ever done. I wish I could tell you, but if I did, I'd ruin the book. I'm really trying hard to finish it. I haven't started on Immortals like I wanted because of the weekend with hubby and fam, so lets just say its on the backburner for now.

Writers, have you ever had characters you loved and hated? Seriously, with these I do. I love them and wonder why the hell I decided to put myself through this shit. What I want to do is try to make it right and believable. And then there's this I saw from one of my favorite authors.

Basically, she said, and I quote: "Fiction is escapism. Otherwise it would be non-fiction. I don't want to suspend belief. I want to believe that this could happen."

And that's the thing. This said plot I WANT TO BELIEVE IT COULD HAPPEN! *inhales deeply* I do, because dammit, it's fiction, but ... but ... it has to be believable right? It has to be real? Or else people will reject the book.

Okay so I have to do my best to make this story real to the reader and myself. I believe in lots of shit anyway. Vampires, unicorns, the power of real love. So I believe, my job is to make the readers believe as I do.

So, in closing. I have some work to do. I want to make this book believable, even though my fave author says FICTON IS ESCAPISM, I have a job. Even if the said plot has neva evah happened, I have to make the reader believe it could.

Lots of work on my end then.

But I'll put it away for now because truly, I am fucking exhausted!

Yay, NaNo is won. Woot! *happy dances* But as the title of this post says, it is not done.

Hey that rhymes! *giggles*

Yeah, it isn't even close. A little over 50K 47K and I'm just throwing the first bit of drama their way. I'm thinking there will be a lot of cutting to be done when I'm ready to edit, because at the pace this story is going on, it won't be done until 80 or close to 90k!

YIKES

That would be my longest story since African Sun and well, that story hasn't seen the light of day in like 2 years. It hasn't been published, it was never edited. Soo that means its on the rewrite list. *sighs* Someday I will pick up the pen on that again.

Anyway, back to Smoke. I had to take a step back from it because I hit writer's block. Yes, I know when do I have that? Well, apparently something got in the way of my progress and I decided to let it go until I found a viable solution for the next part. I did, and started work on something else. Actually, I went back to See No Evil and well... I counted a few of those words in my Nano total. SOOOO rebel of me. *grins* I wrote a very emotional scene with my transwoman and my sexy CSI which has me thinking, will I let them sleep together now or wait.

*blinks*

Yes, this is the dilemma authors go through on a consistent basis. We agonize over how we allow our characters to move forward. And it really is a pain, especially when you want to torture them a little more but they bug you to let them do the other things. *groans* Ah the joys of being an author.

Okay so I'm saying all this, why? Well, really I'm rambling, but also I have to say how glad I was that I worked on 3 stories at once. If I had depended on Smoke to get me through Nano, I might have come up short. Instead, I am a NANO winner for number 6 out of 7. Not too shabby, huh?

So congrats to all the other authors who participated, because even if you didn't make it, you're still a winner because, hell, you write some words in November!

And by the way, that is my muse for Santiago in Smoke. He is a total doll!

See No Evil is moving along. I'm hoping to get it done, edited and released by the end of teh month, but it would be totally okay to come out in January. We'll see what happens!

Smoke is on hold for now. I will go back to it, but I need to do a little more reseacrh on something before I continue.

Hirah #3 is coming along, but I am making some changes to the beginning. I have to break them apart because they are starting to sniff around each other's butts. LOL that is my term for the characters getting too close before I am ready to bring them together. I will be getting back to it ASAP

Releases - I intend to release UTG 2 and Hirah 3 for December. Not sure about Evil, but we shall see!

Okay, so this is the 2nd update. It is the homestretch, but I didn't get the chance to come back over here until now. More fuckery happened on Tuesday, but I got through it. Lets just say, car trouble. Yep, time to get another car.

Anyway, with writing, I'm over 40K on Smoke.

Woot!

I do adore this story. It's humorous, angsty, sexy. Oh and the characters. They are writing themselves and I'm tagging along while they run rampant on this manuscript. In my last post I was pissed, but Santiago has helped me right the ship...

A little.

Santiago is still my guy, but this one above has taken over the focus. He is such an ass! He is the muse I am using for Myles. BTW, I love Boris Kodjoe! I've used him a couple of times and when I put his sexy face in with a particular character, it always seems to work.

Oh yes, back to Smoke. It's going great and I'm very sure the story will be about 70-80K. Yes, that's right. In this first 40, nothing much has happened except some fuckery as Santiago called it, that has taken a lot longer than expected. Also, all 3 men have POV's so their thoughts are all on paper. Some emotional men, they are, and yes, I love that too.

I do hope to be done in December so i can pass it on to some betas, but guaranteed I will have the 50k needed to win Nano in the next few days. Then I might give it a rest so I can finish See No Evil and Hirah.

Until next time!

I shelved Hirah 3 for now because I'd like to finish See and book 2 isn't on the editor's desk yet.
I'm thinking of writing an Xmas short for two old characters. Not sure who, but stay tuned.
2 freebies as well as my fanfic.

Yes, I know.

I really should've updated last the first week, right? But I was busy working my EDJ and writing, then working, then writing, then shit happened on Friday! AH! But if anyone is still listening, I did indeed hit the 25k mark today.

WOOT!

But, hold on. Before we throw the confetti, I am having anxities over this damn story. Now I remember why I put this thing on the backburner for 3 plus years.

UGH!

Without giving anything away, this whole story is a clusterfuck. The premise it's built on is a clusterfuck and now, one character decides to throw a monkey wrench into my already shaky foundation by ...

NOPE, not gonna tell ya. Just trust that Santiago fucked up my plan!

GRR!

I still love him. In fact, he is my favorite character in the story. The man above is my muse for Jonas. My hotheaded firefighter who loves Santiago with all his heart. And yes, he is as fuckable in the story as he is in that pic.

SWOON.

Still, this doesn't make me forget that Santiago has pulled something in the story that might make it difficult for me to tie up lose ends. I mean, it wasn't as if I already had my doubts as to how I was going to pull it off. Now, I'm damn near ready to throw my hands up, but guess what kids. I ain't goin' out like that. I'm gonna keep hacking away and wrecking shop .... (is that term still a thing OH Well) On these sons of bitches because this book deserves an audience. It's juicy, sexy, angsty, and well, I like it because I'm writing it.

*grins*

If you're interested in following my progress, just stay in tuned with my writers blog. Yep, I update it now when I can, because as I said in a post two or three weeks ago, it's like therapy.

Thanks for listening...

WRITING UPDATE

So at the moment, SMOKE NANO is at 25K
I am starting Hirah 3 over again and about to hand #2 over to an editor. 2 betas gave me some help which I appreciated dearly. Now, I'm going to try getting Hirah out before the end of the month.
Still working on See No Evil. Must finish by NOV 30th and the DD Fanfic I'm working on as well as the freebie. I actually have another couple of freebies based on pics, but I haven't strated them as of yet.

TA for now.
