Finally back on track! 

After almost six weeks, I'm finally back to writing. Whew!

I swear, the writer's block is a bitch. As I said in the last post, after Love Kills in February I had barely written any words. Contrary to what I'd said, I only managed to get Resignation out for March and no releases in April. And until about two weeks ago, I didn't have any significant word counts.

When you don't hear from me, it's usually because I'm too busy with RL or writing or I have severe writer's block. I didn't think it could happen to me with all the ideas I've got, but truthfully, it happens a lot more now.

Blame it on old age, chemical imbalance, lack of sleep? Who knows? This time though, I know it had a lot to do with the Love Kills book.

Why you ask?

Well, it is a dark romance. It's probably the darkest book I've written in sometime. Not even Immortals was this dark!

I read dark fiction to get in the mood, listened to doom and black metal, while trying to put myself in the mindset of Holland my serial killer as well as my psychopath, Archer Killjoy.

Damn, talk about hard!

Anyway, it was a lot more complicated than I thought, which made me think, the next time I do such a dark book, don't try writing on anything else. I'm more of a dark light author. *laughs* There are plenty of authors than can go darker, but I don't believe I've got the mental or emotional capacity.

Despite this revelation, I will be trying again. My beta reader asked about my character Archer Killjoy who was the wild card in this whole thing. It made me think about delving more into Archer's psyche. I intend to dig dipper into the artist with a severe case of bloodlust. And he's a sexy beast we need to know more about.

So that will come later.

For now though, I'm doing dark stuff but not as emotionally taxing. Working on the revision of Sex Type Thing, Death's Angel which is dark but its a paranormal so I'm more into the worldbuilding and the romance around the couple, Bend which I've been working on since December. *sigh* And my MF Purple Haze.

The good news is all stories have words. The bad news is, none are really close to being finished.
