Unexpected Endings from the Muses!

Happy Monday and welcome to the Weekly Update!
WOOHOO! I'm so excited to say that Vertigo is finished. YESS!
Now truly, in the life of a writer even when you type the words, the end, it doesn't mean it's necessarily over. it only means the toughest part, getting all your thoughts on paper is done. The next part is the hardest, editing, revising, to make it sound coherent.
So what about when that ending you just typed was unexpected?
Vertigo's author is my gay man, Michael Mandrake.
When he and I sat at the table, writing the last of Vertigo on Sunday, there was an internal discussion as to how it would end.
Should it be happy ending where all the characters get what they want and live HEA (happy ever after) or should it be a bittersweet one?
Well, because I listen extensively to my writer within, Michael, and the characters, they chose the bittersweet ending which I won't go into because I want you read it when it comes out! ;P
However, I will tell you that it shocked me, how it came out and how effortless it was for me to write this controversial ending. COMPLETELY FLOORED ME. I was so shocked, I tweeted and Facebooked about it...
My muses are demons, what the hell, blah blah
*laughs*
As you know, my Vertigo tale is a paranormal so, anything can happen there. And my character, David, (my model David Taylor above) really surprised me with what he wanted to occur.
So, what have I learned? As a fellow author who I respect in the genre told me, write whats in your heart. Don't change it because you might think it's unpopular with the critics. Follow your inspiration and muses, which I've always done and will continued to do.
I've come up with some really interesting things and I'm sure as I get better as a writer, I'll have more surprising stories and endings to tell!

So, in the post, VERTIGO DONE! WOOT!
I'm really happy to at least have the general ideas on paper. Now, as I said, comes the hard part. Revising, editing...etc. My editor is still working on Binding Justice so he can get it out for a May 29th release. After that, it will most likely be Imperfect Lover he'll work on and then Vertigo. He also has a gay western antho he'd like me to be in, so that might come before the others.
As it stands, these are now my WIP's
Trois in Treble (MMF) Midway point
Mi Familia (Ongoing gay menage) No end in sight
Lessons in Ink (gay romance) getting back to that!
African Sun Part 3 No end in sight
A Second Chance - Still going on this one. I've put it down a while so I could work finish Vertigo. Now that its complete, I will pick it up again.
I have a few subs I'd like to do. A hetero involving a curvy woman, my pirate story which is pretty much done, just some revising, and the gay western antho due by June 1st. That last one I will start on Friday or Saturday. I'd like to go on and get these shorts done this week.
This week, I will also be revising The Masquerade which I've been posting on Free Fic Friday on LJ. I found a potential publisher for it and will be doing some revising and major editing and I hope to get it to the publisher by months end.
Now, I am shooting to get Lessons done and the 2 short subs before starting the gay western!
Also, my fanfiction muse is hungry! Been writing shorts and it would like me to do another big story. So, the goal is to finish 2 of the ones Ive been working on and start a new chapter one next month when the calendar for subs is light and I have Masquerade and the gay western done.
I have no dates to finish Trois and AS! They will just continue until the muses have been satisfied.
Ta for now!
