After a horrible snow storm, we lost power at about 3am Wed then it did not return till 3am Thursday...

I never realized how much I missed electricity until I Lost it. To make matters even more horrid, most of our heat was electric so we had to turn the stove on which is not really a good thing.

My whole family and I were huddled up in our bedroom most of the day. My parents called to check on us, my hubby did not go to work. It was just ODD but it made me think of one thing... taking things for granted.

All the time we run electricity... I turn off lights but to have the computer on when it should be on shutdown, to have tv's on when they arent watched etc is such a waste. More importantly, time together as a family when we had nothing to distract us was precious.

Not having the other things like a laptop, PS3's, video games and electronic toys for my three year old forced us together. We do try to go out together as a family at least twice to three times a month, we watch movies together but spending time without nothing electric was cool...

Yes it pissed me off that I was not able to write more but being with Son, daughter and hubby brought us in one room, together was a blessing in disguise...

Okay back to the writing!
